Indigestion

Poor eating, habits, emotional tension, food allergies, imbalances in stomach acid or digestive enzymes and many other causes can lead to indigestion and gas. Saturated fats and hydrogenated oils slow digestion. Over consumption of coffee, alcohol, cigarettes and processed foods also promote an overly acidic condition in the stomach. Other contributing factors may include, eating too fast or when stressed out, not chewing well, food allergies and sensitivities, improper combinations of different types of food, and drinking lots of liquids with meals which dilute the digestive fluids.
