The World Needs a Better Solution For Depression, Anxiety & Dementia
Depression and anxiety are at epidemic proportions. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting almost 20% of the adult population, and depression affects over 18 million adults (one in ten people).
And the conventional medical world’s response to this epidemic is very specific; synthetic drugs.
Antidepressants are the most prescribed drug in U.S. after antibiotics – taken by more than 1 in 10 Americans (and 1 in 4 among women aged 50 to 64). Many believe that this is the best course of treatment for depression, yet leaked studies, even from the manufacturers themselves, have shown that these drugs are usually of no more benefit than a placebo.
