It does contain ingredients like wheat grass, barley grass and oat grass, which might be confusing for some people as wheat and barley especially are associated with gluten. Wheat grass is actually a vegetable and is typically harvested before it becomes a grain, which is the point in its growth where gluten proteins develop as its seed appears. Put another way, gluten is only found in the seed kernel, the endosperm, and not in the stem and leaves. Still, there can be contamination with gluten at the farm level so testing is important.
