Cautions

How To Take

Take 1 or 2 tablets daily with a glass of water and preferably with a meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

It’s best to take your iron at the same time as fresh fruit or a vitamin C supplement, as vitamin C increases iron absorption. 

Our iron bisglycinate is the gentlest and most absorbable form of iron supplement available, helping to minimise the cramps or diarrhoea often linked with standard iron tablets. Some people may still notice mild diarrhoea or changes in digestion during the first week or two as their system adjusts. This usually settles quickly as your gut flora adapts to an increased iron intake.

If your stomach is sensitive, taking a probiotic supplement or live yoghurt at the same time can help maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria. Staying well hydrated and eating fibre-rich foods also supports the gut’s tolerance of iron.

Warnings

Overdoses of iron can are toxic. Keep this product well out of reach of children under 12, and seek urgent medical attention if you suspect a child has swallowed iron tablets.

If you experience persistent side effects or suspect symptoms of iron deficiency or anaemia, consult your GP for testing and tailored medical advice. The dosage of this supplement is suitable to support normal iron levels, not to treat iron deficiency anaemia.
