Helps Clear Bacteria From the Bladder
D-Mannose works by forming a non-stick surface inside the bladder, preventing E. coli bacteria - the commonest cause of cystitis and urinary tract infections - from clinging to the walls. The bacteria are then naturally flushed out when you urinate. It’s similar to cranberry extract, but far stronger.

Supports UTI Prevention
Because of this cleansing action, D-Mannose is an effective way to help reduce the risk of recurrent urinary tract infections. It can be used alongside antibiotics during an active infection.

How To Take

Take three capsules daily with water or as directed by your healthcare professional.

It’s essential that you drink lots of water (of herbal tea) during a urinary tract infection, to help flush the germs away regularly. You should drink enough so that your urine is very pale in colour. Avoid coffee, alcohol and sugary fruit juices during urinary infections, as they can irritate the bladder. 

Warnings

During an active UTI, you can take a full dose of D-Mannose every 2–3 hours for a few days, however this is NOT a substitute for antibiotic treatment. A few people find that very high doses of D-mannose can cause mild bloating or loose stools, although clinical research has found this happens less often with D-Mannose than with antibiotics.
